The Middle Level
Summer School Program is designed to increase the literacy and
mathematical reasoning skills of students in English Language Arts,
Mathematics, Science and Social Studies through a cooperative
model. Students will participate in two 90-minute academic
sessions. There also will be a counselor on staff to provide
additional social supports. Breakfast and
lunch will be served at middle school sites while the program is in
session.
The sessions will be
held at Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School for students that
currently attend Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School and William S.
Hackett Middle School, and at Philip Livingston Magnet Academy for
students that currently attend Philip Livingston Magnet Academy and
North Albany Academy.
Registration will be
held on Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1
from 9 am. to noon at the respective buildings. Please note the
following:

Students that have
failed two or more core courses (ELA, Science, Social Studies or Math)
are required to attend.

The program will run
daily from 8:30-11:30 a.m., starting Monday, July 7 and continuing
through Friday,
August 8. Students are required to attend the entire three-hour
program.

A guidance counselor or
building level administrator will contact students and families
regarding mandatory attendance.

Breakfast will be served
daily from 8:00 AM – 8:25 AM

Lunch will be served
daily at 11:35 PM – 12:00 PM
