The following links outline the City School District of Albany's
PreK-11 social studies curriculum through the use of curriculum pacing maps.

Pacing Maps
The maps are designed to ensure that all students are instructed in the required curriculum to best prepare them for success for the following New York State assessments: Grade 5 Social Studies, Grade 8 Social Studies, Regents Exams in Global History and Geography, and in United States History and Government.

Parents are encouraged to use these maps to keep informed of the social studies content topics children will be learning each year. This familiarity will also enable parents to better assist their children with home study and support their academic progress.
