The Albany School of
Humanities celebrated and promoted health and fitness with a Family
Health Fair on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at the school.
The event included
several community agencies and independent
practitioners, including the American Heart Association, the Albany
County Department of Health, the Albany County Dental Department, the
city Fire Department and the Honest Weight Food Co-op.
There was also a ¾ mile
course with fitness stations, as well as yoga and massage exhibits.
The event was held to
educate school families and community members about the importance of
making positive, healthy choices. It was also held to bring Albany
School of Humanities families together for a morning of fun and fitness.
