Four students from Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School and their history teacher this month retraced Henry Hudson's voyage up the Hudson River almost 300 years ago by sailing his route in a replica of Hudson's ship, the  Half Moon. The students, pictured here with their crewmate,  Myers Social Studies teacher Mr. Morency, and their vessel, participated in the 2006 Fall Voyage of Discovery on the Half Moon, sailing from Verplanck to New York Harbor and back to Verplanck from Sept. 8 to Sept. 14. The students were recognized at a docking ceremony at Albany's Corning Preserve on Sept. 19. For more information about their trip, visit www.halfmoon.mus.ny.us.
