District
announces staff members new to key leadership positions
Recently, the district has
appointed several staff members to key leadership positions for the
2006-07 school year. The appointments include personnel who are new to
the district, and veteran district educators who will fill new
leadership roles.
They include:
Ms. Maxine
Fantroy-Ford as Interim Principal at Albany High School. Ms. Ford is a
27-year veteran with the district, and spent the previous 9 years as
principal at Giffen Memorial Elementary School.
Mr. Tracy Ford as Principal of
Philip Livingston Magnet Academy. Mr. Ford was most recently Assistant
Principal at Stephen & Harriet Myers Middle School, and prior to that
was he was Assistant Principal at Philip Livingston Magnet Academy.
Ms. Maria Vitillo as Principal
at Public School 18. Most recently, Ms. Vitillo was Assistant Principal
at Albany School of Humanities.
Ms. Wilberlee Range as Interim
Principal at Giffen Memorial Elementary School. Ms. Range was most
recently Summer School Principal, and prior to that Assistant Principal
and Assistant Director of Pupil Services, at Shaker Junior High School.
Retired New York State
Police Colonel Harry Corbitt as Director of Safe Schools and Violence
Prevention (formerly the post of Security Director). Mr. Corbitt was
most recently a consultant, after retiring from a 27-year career with
the New York State Police as Deputy Superintendent-Internal Affairs Bureau.
Mrs. Linda
Rudnick as Director of Instruction. Mrs. Rudnick has been with the
district for 15 years, and most recently served as Instructional
Supervisor for Elementary English Language Arts.
Ms. Kathleen
Ryan as Director of Health, Athletics and Physical Education. Ms. Ryan
was most recently the Athletic Director for the Elmira City School
District.
Mr. Ken Cioffi
as Chief Information Officer. Mr. Cioffi is a 27-year veteran with the
district, and most recently served as Director of Special Education.
