Kindergarten registration
begins May 20 for
the 2013-14 school year
Establishing a solid foundation for young children is vital in shaping
the critical first years of the school experience. The City School District of Albany offers
excellent full-day kindergarten programs in all 12 of our elementary
schools to help your child build the skills, confidence and
relationships they need to begin a lifetime of learning.
Kindergarten registration for the 2013-14 school year begins
Monday, May 20. To enter
kindergarten this fall, your child must turn 5 years old on or
before Dec. 1, 2013.
You need to register
child if your child for kindergarten if he

You can register your child Monday-Friday from 8:30-4
p.m. at the district's Central Registration Office, located at 75
Watervlliet Ave. (off Central Avenue near Westgate Plaza). You will need
proof of your child's age and residency, as well as proof of
immunization and custody papers, if applicable. Click the highlighted

need to register your child for kindergarten
if he or she currently attends
prekindergarten in:

option to enroll a child in a school other than their neighborhood zone
