About Eagle Point Elementary School
The former Public School 27 was remodeled in 2005 as
part of the City School District of Albany's sweeping
plan to renovate or rebuild every elementary school.
When the building reopened in January 2006, it was
christened Eagle Point Elementary School in honor of its
location near the highest point in the City of Albany.
Eagle Point serves approximately 300 students, and its
small size allows teachers and administrators to create
a cozy environment where programs can be individualized
to meet students' specific needs. The school's mission
is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that develops and promotes a diverse community
of confident lifelong learners.
