About Eagle Point Elementary School
As part of the City School District of Albany's comprehensive facilities project, School 27 was renovated in 2005 and rechristened Eagle Point Elementary School, in recognition of its location near the highest point in the City of Albany, when it reopened in January 2006.

Eagle Point serves approximately 200 students in pre-K through grade 5. In 2007-08, the school also is home to the kindergarten classes from School 19 (approximately 60 additional students) while School 19 is being renovated. Eagle Point's small size allows teachers and administrators to create a cozy environment in which programs can be individualized to meet students' specific needs.

The school has partnerships with the University at Albany, The College of St. Rose and the Hebrew Academy in Albany. Eagle Point fifth-graders also will be working on a year-long history- and art-related project in 2007-08 thanks to a grant from the Albany Institute of History and Art.
