Benoit rolls best three-game series in Albany High
history
Albany High School senior Michael
Benoit rolled a sizzling 800 series, the best three-game total in school
history, in the Falcons’ matchup with CBA on Jan. 2.
Michael had games of 256, 266 and 278 and flirted with a
perfect 300 game in each. He started the first game with eight
consecutive strikes, and had seven straight to start each of the last
two. He threw 30 strikes on 35 shots over the three games, with three
one-pin spares and just two open frames.
The three-game total is Michael’s personal best and
surpassed the previous Albany High mark of 783 set by Nick Kallner in
2002. The 800 also is the top series in Section II this season. He will
receive a plaque from the United States Bowling Congress signifying his
achievement of reaching the 800 plateau (out of a possible 900). |
