reported in children and adolescents who participate in sports
and recreational activities.
Concussions can have serious consequences
if not managed carefully. In 2011,
the City School District of
Albany Board of Education adopted a
to support the proper
evaluation and management of concussions and other head injuries.
The policy is in compliance with
New York State Concussion Management and Awareness Act.
