Grants provide funding up to $3,000 to schools to help with the implementation or expansion of literacy programs for students who are below grade level or experiencing difficulty reading.

Ezra Jack Keats Foundation Mini-Grants ......................................Deadline: September 30

The SMARTer Kids Research program supports action-based research projects conducted by educators. The SMARTer Kids Foundation will loan successful applicants a Front Projection SMART Board interactive whiteboard and floor stand to enable them to conduct their studies. When all program requirements have been completed, the loaned product will be donated to the participating school at no charge.

Teaching Tolerance offers grants of $500 to $2,500 to pre-K-12 classroom teachers for projects designed to reduce prejudice among youth, improve intergroup relations in schools and/or support educator professional development in these areas.
