Students can take a full IB curriculum leading to an IB diploma in addition to a high-school diploma, or select individual IB courses. IB diplomas are highly regarded by top colleges and universities.

Each academy provides the same core courses in math, English, science and social studies, as well as art, health and Spanish 1. Physical education, band, orchestra and chorus include students from all four academies. Each academy also provides honors, special-education classes and

English-as-a-second-language services. All other elective courses are grouped according to each academy’s unique theme.
Students can take electives in different academies and the electives are equally available to all.

Summer opportunities for freshmen in the Citizenship Academy

Citizenship Academy provides a one-week, full-day summer camp for incoming freshmen that involves a hands-on project with a local business or community-service organization. Students also will be introduced to the career and technical education offerings available in the academy.

What’s so special about Citizenship Academy?

Citizenship Academy features a mock courtoom complete with a judge's bench, witness stand, jury box, counsel table and seating for a courtroom audience. The room also is equipped with a complex network of audio-visual and information technology.
