Board of Education Recognition Events
At each meeting, the
City School District of Albany Board of Education recognizes
students, staff or community members for their achievements and
contributions to the school district. The board recognition is part of
the Superintendent's Report at the start of each meeting. Check out the
photos below for more information about each recogntion event in

July 7, 2011 -- Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School
The board recognized four Albany High School
students who joined students from
Siena College in May to tour Mississippi and Alabama on the 50th
anniversary of
the Freedom Riders. The event was organized by John Harris, an Albany
High Home-
School Coordinator, and social studies teacher Bud Pape, and the tour
was led by
Siena faculty member Paul Murray, Ph.D., a former member of the Albany
Board
