Albany's impressive alumni

Artists and athletes. Diplomats and doctors. Lawyers and labor leaders. The list goes on, but one thing is certain: Albany public school graduates have gone on to distinguish themselves in a variety of fields and careers as diverse as the alums themselves.

Connecting with classmates
Regardless of the path you took after high school, you can reconnect with your school pals with an up-to-date directory that includes graduates from Albany High School, the former Harriet Gibbons High School/Street Academy and Philip Schuyler High School -- the three high schools that, for more than a century, educated the young people of Albany.

Alums in the news
We've started to compile articles and information about well-known alumni like former Houston Astro Glen Barker, United States Ambassador Gene Cretz, actor William Devane (pictured at right), newspaper magnate Bob Danzig, Grammy-nominated jazz musician Stefon Harris, editorial cartoonist and sculptor Hy Rosen and actress Charlayne Woodard -- to name a few. This will be an ongoing project and the list will increase over time.
