'Dos' and 'Don'ts'

of the updated Code of Conduct

Following are examples of what is acceptable and what is unacceptable in 2007-08 under important revisions to the City School District of Albany's Code of Conduct. Click here to read more about the updated Code of Conduct or download the full document in .pdf format.
 

T-shirt length

(must be at least 1 foot above the knee)

Shorts length

(no more than 4 inches above the knee)

Skirt length

Sleeveless tops/'spaghetti straps'

(straps must be at least 1-inch wide)

Tank tops

(no A-frame T-shirts or tank tops are allowed in school at any time during the school day)

Hooded sweatshirts

(sweatshirts with hoods must be stored in a locker immediately after entering school

and are not to be worn during the school day)

Clothing commemorating a person's death

(no clothing of this type or similar may be worn

in school at any time during the school day)

Cell phones/electronic devices/headware

(all cell phones and electronic devices must be out of site for the entire school day;
