PowerSchool, the district's student information system, is used to
schedule, take attendance, store grades, produce report cards and
transcripts, and more. The system brings together teachers, students,
parents and guardians, and administrators in an easy-to-use Web-based
data system. The PowerSchool Parent Portal may be accessed from any place with Internet access. The
application uses a secure link that encrypts the data to and from the
end user, and is very secure.
Connect directly to the
PowerSchool Parent
Portal login page, or visit the
PowerSchool Parent Portal Overview for an introduction and more
information about the system.
Parents, guardians and students will be
able to view daily attendance, assignments and class grades. Access
to the PowerSchool Parent Portal will be by unique login ID (username)
and password. For families with more than one child in the district, a
separate parent username and password will be provided for access to
each child’s information. If you did not receive your username and
password, or if you lose them, please contact the house office at your
child's school. A new letter will be mailed to you with your login
information. Login IDs and passwords will not be given out over the
phone, or via e-mail, to protect the confidentiality of your child's
information.
The City School District
of Albany serves approximately 9,000 students in 18 elementary and
middle and
high schools. The district includes several magnet schools and programs,
as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students in
addition to neighborhood schools. The district is more than halfway
through its comprehensive facilities project to newly build and/or
renovate nearly all of its elementary and middle schools. The ultimate
goal of the facilities project is to provide schools with the resources
necessary to help students succeed in the 21st century. |
