Transportation applications available for 2012-13
school year
ALBANY,
N.Y. (May 4, 2012) -- City School District of Albany
families have until June 15 to complete applications
for bus transportation for their children during the
2012-13 school year.
The district transports all eligible students --
those who live 1.5 miles or more from their school
-- either by yellow bus or Capital District
Transportation Authority (CDTA) bus.

(for elementary schools, North Albany Academy and
Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School) or a
CDTA pass
(for transportation to Albany High School and
Hackett Middle School).
Your child's school also will send home a copy of
the appropriate form. Completed
applications should be turned in by June 15 to the
school your child currently attends.
For children who attend private, parochial or
charter schools in Albany, the deadline to apply for
2012-13 transportation was April 1. However,
eligible requests received after the deadline will
be considered on a space-available basis. Click on

The mission of the City School District of
Albany is to educate and nurture all students to be
responsible citizens, critical thinkers and lifelong learners to
successfully compete in the global community by providing an
