Albany High School students, staff, families and the community
celebrated Homecoming 2011 on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14-15. The
weekend's activities began with a pep rally at the end of the school day
Friday, with a packed gym cheering on Albany High's fall sports teams.
The City School District of Albany Hall of Fame Induction Dinner was
held Friday night at the Polish Community Center, with eight new members
inducted in the hall's third year (visit
our Hall of Fame section to read more about the members of the Class
of 2011). The inductees took their
place on the Wall of Fame outside the Albany High gym on Saturday
morning, and then it was time for the Homecoming parade to Bleecker
Stadium and the football game against Gloversville. The weather
cooperated, with the rain holding off until later in the day, but the
visitors did not, beating the Falcons 26-6 on Senior Day.
