Great things are happening in Albany's
public schools
Julie
Pluviose-Philip
Albany School of Humanities
(ASH)
Julie Pluviose-Philip pursues excellence in
all her endeavors, whether they be academic, theatrical or civic-minded.
Julie plays the trumpet and sings in the ASH chorus.
She participates in basketball, karate, and track and field.
She's also an avid reader.
When Haiti suffered its devastating earthquake,
Julie saw the need to do something to help the country.
She initiated a fund-raiser at ASH called “Hearts for Haiti”
and galvanized her fellow classmates on behalf of the cause; they
raised more than $1,000 for the school’s Haiti relief fund. She also
participated in ASH’s fund-raiser for earthquake victims in Japan loss
and raised more than $600.
Julie is an all-around talented and lovable young
lady. Excellence apparently runs in the
family; Julia's brother Wesley is one of seven exceptional Albany High
students also being recognized this year.
