Hall of Fame induction weekend in October

The City School District of Albany will induct eight new members into its Hall of Fame at a special dinner on Oct. 14.

All are welcome to attend the dinner, which will be held at the Polish Community Center on Washington Avenue Extension. Tickets are $35. For more
information, contact the Department of Health, Physical Education and Athletics at 454-3987, ext. 986. The deadline to RSVP is Sept. 23.

The dinner kicks off Albany High School’s 2011 Homecoming festivities, which continue on Oct. 15 with a ceremony that immortalizes the new inductees on the school’s Wall of Fame. The annual Homecoming parade follows, from Albany High to Bleecker Stadium for the Homecoming football game against Gloversville.

The Hall of Fame inductees also will be honored at the annual Albany Public School Teachers’ Association Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Outing on Oct. 1. That RSVP deadline is Sept. 16.

Click here for a dinner reservation form. Also, visit the Hall of Fame page for more information about all of this fall’s Hall of Fame activities and more information about the Class of 2011.
