Rebuilding our schools,
reshaping education
Almost every elementary and middle school in the
City School District of Albany is being newly built and/or
renovated. The Albany School of Humanities (ASH) is one exception.
ASH was completely renovated in 1995.
The overview below includes
the timelines for each school project, project budget, and information
for each school included in the facilities plan. Due to changes in the
scope of work at certain schools, budgets and work planned have changed
since the facilities plan was originally conceived.

The construction timeline
was developed with three priorities:

To shield students and
staff from the chaos of construction.

To provide for a gradual
tax increase.

To keep work on schedule.
