As you know, District
staff workers who are a part of Unit I, Unit II, or Unit III employees
have an annual contractual obligation to complete professional
development hours. Participating in the offerings found on this page is
one way of fulfilling your obligation. You are also reminded that the
offerings provided here represent just one component or element of
comprehensive staff development.
Just as you are
encouraged to enroll and participate in these offerings, you are also
encouraged to seek and participate in other available courses,
conferences, workshops, and in-service opportunities in your field of
responsibility. Many such opportunities are available regionally through
the Greater Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA), the
Capital Region Teachers’ Center, BOCES, and local colleges and
universities.
In the near future, the district will be
transforming all professional development management and accessibility
to the newly acquired
PDExpress online suite. Currently, that online
portal is under development. In the meantime, please contact the
appropriate supervisor if you have any questions or would like
additional information.
