School
Improvement Goals The
information provided on this page is also contained in
the school's academic improvement plan. Included are
both school goals and measurable objectives for
improvement. Areas of need have been identified from
achievement results reported for this school and the
District via State Assessment Results, the New York
State Report Card, and the Comprehensive District
Education Plan Improvement priorities, and have resulted
in the following goals and objectives:
Goal 1
To increase the
percentage of students who score in Levels 2 through 4,
and the percent of students who score in Levels 3 and 4
on the Grade 4 NYS ELA and math exams.
To increase the number
of fourth-grade students scoring in Levels 2-4, and
the number scoring in Levels 3 and 4 by a minimum of
10% on the NYS ELA test. This would place us above
state standards of 90% in Levels 2-4 in one year,
and on pace to meet the standards of 65% in Levels 3
and 4 within a five-year period.
To increase the number
of fourth-grade students that score in Levels 2-4,
and the number scoring in Levels 3 and 4 by a
minimum of 10% on the NYS math tests. This would
place us at or above the state standard of 90% and
60% in both of these categories next year.
Goal 2
To increase our
attendance rate to that of NYS similar schools, which
will place us in line with the district's CDEP
Improvement Opportunity for attendance.
To increase our
attendance rate by a minimum of 1%.
Goal 3
To reduce our
suspension rate to that which will meet the CDEP
Improvement Opportunity of 1%.
