About North Albany Academy
On September 6, 2005, the City School District of Albany hosted a ribbon cutting and public tour of the renamed and reinvigorated North Albany Academy. Hundreds of North Albany neighbors, students and families attended the celebration.

North Albany Academy is the district's first and only school for students in prekindergarten through grade 8. The academy focuses on the fundamentals of education with enrichment activities to support academics. Students have access to a computer lab and media center, and through an innovative partnership with the North Albany YMCA, access to a pool, gym, running track and a branch of the Albany Public Library.

We are proud to be able to provide a range of programs and services to take care of our children's academic needs as well as provide health and wellness services on-site. These services include mobile dental health services through our partnership with the St. Peter's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House.

North Albany Academy faculty and staff provide a safe and welcoming environment for children and have high expectations for good behavior and academic success. In 2002 and 2003, the school was recognized as one of the most improved schools in New York state, based on test scores in English language arts and math.
