COVID-19 Vaccinations
In alignment with the recommendations of federal, state and local healthcare and medical professionals, the district strongly encourages COVID-19 vaccinations for everyone who is eligible (age 12 and older) and able.
The district is requiring student-athletes wishing to compete against teams from other school districts in a high-risk fall sport (cheerleading, football, volleyball) to be fully vaccinated. The district considers fully vaccinated to mean two weeks following the final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
The City School District of Albany continues to work in collaboration with our state and local health and education partners and medical professionals to review the latest COVID-19 guidance and recommendations. As new information is provided to us, we will update this document accordingly.
