Parent University: October 2020
Topic: Nutrition and Wellness
This month's Parent University is being held in partnership with the Cornell Cooperative Extension, with a focus on healthy eating habits and easy recipes to make at home.
Introduction
Through the month of October, Kim Maercklein of Cornell Cooperative Extension will be hosting a series of nutrition classes paired with a cooking demo. Each week, she will host an interactive workshop via Zoom. It will be offered once in the morning and once in the evening. If you cannot make the classes, pre-recorded workshops with cooking demos as are available below as well.
Live workshops
The events below all require advance registration, which can be found in the event description, along with additional details on the topic.
We’re sorry, no events were found for this calendar.
Pre-recorded lessons
If you are unable to attend any of the live events, we have also created pre-recorded lessons for each of the four topics. For copies of the handouts and recipes that accompany the lesson, contact Kim Maercklein at kam487@cornell.edu.
Additional video resources
If kids and parents want to play the same game in the book and try two bites of something from each food group, parents can contact Kim Maercklein at kam487@cornell.edu with what their child tried to receive a certificate from the Two Bite Club with their child’s name on it.
