Parent University | September 2020

Topic: COVID-19 and Your Health

This month's Parent University focuses on health issues during COVID-19, with a particular focus on mental health with a series of presentations by More Than Sad, presented by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

More Than Sad (MTS) has taught over a million students and educators how to be smarter about mental health. This version, created for parents and guardians, teaches how to recognize signs of depression and other mental health problems, initiate a conversation about mental health with their child and get help.

The presentation also includes the film "Teen Depression," which is designed to demystify treatment and encourage students who are struggling to seek help (view a trailer of the film).

MTS is free but registration is required. Please see below for more information on how to register for one of the four sessions.

Virtual MTS presentations

We will be offering four More than Sad (MTS) presentations on the dates listed below. We ask that individuals interested in participating in these presentations register in advance. Once you complete the registration process, MTS will contact you 24 hours prior to the event and provide a link to the virtual Zoom session.

This presentation is best suited for families with middle and high school students.
