Sign up at school May 15 for elementary summer enrichment
N.Y. (May 13, 2019) --
The City School District of Albany is offering a
full-day elementary summer enrichment program this year that will
focus on your child’s literacy and math abilities in the morning, and
arts, drama, physical education, science and technology in the
Wednesday, May 15, staff will be available after the school day at
each elementary school to help families fill out applications for the
summer enrichment program. The summer program is open to students
currently in kindergarten through fifth grade. You can check with your
child's teacher, or the application support team at your school May 15,
to see if the program is a good fit for your child.
The summer enrichment program will be at four locations this year:
Arbor Hill Elementary School
Giffen Memorial Elementary School
Pine Hills Elementary School
Sheridan Preparatory Academy.
The program will begin Monday, July 8 and continue through Friday, Aug.
9. Summer enrichment will operate daily from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack will be served, and
transportation will be available to each of the four program sites.
This is a wonderful opportunity for children to develop their background
knowledge and grow academically.
