Pre-K open houses in February

ALBANY, N.Y. (Jan. 31, 2019) -- The City School District of Albany’s Office of Early Childhood will hold four open houses during February to give families an opportunity to tour and ask questions about a typical prekindergarten classroom.

Open houses will be held:

  • Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2:30-4:30 p.m. – A Child’s Place at Unity, 50 Philip St.

  • Thursday, Feb. 7, 5-6 p.m. – Pine Hills Elementary School, 41 North Allen St.

  • Monday, Feb. 11, 5-6 p.m. – New Scotland Elementary School

  • Tuesday, Feb. 12, 4:30-5:30 p.m. – Temple Israel, 600 New Scotland Ave.

For the 2019-20 school year, the district will offer full-day pre-K in our nine neighborhood elementary schools, our three themed magnet schools, our bilingual Dual Language Program and at 18 community agencies throughout Albany.

Pre-K spots are enrolled by lottery and families are encouraged to apply to have the best chance of getting the seat of their choice.
