Save the date for Summer Celebration and Safety Day 2019

ALBANY, N.Y. (July 2, 2019) -- A favorite seasonal event is just around the corner and the City School District of Albany wants to make sure you have all the information you need for Summer Celebration and Safety Day 2019.

This year the activities will be held in upper Lincoln Park (near the Sunshine School) on July 20 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The City School District of Albany is once again partnering with Mohawk Ambulance Service, and other community partners, to offer this free and open to the public event.

Stop by for an hour or stay for the duration to enjoy the face-painting, games and giveaways, live music, safety information and demonstrations plus a BBQ and nutritious snacks.

“This is the perfect way for our students and families to connect with important services and receive valuable health and safety tips while at the same time experience an educational and fun day,” said Superintendent Kaweeda G. Adams.

This is the ninth year the City School District of Albany co-sponsored Summer Celebration and Safety Day

The mission of the City School District of Albany is to educate and prepare all students for college and career, citizenship and life, in partnership with our diverse community. The district serves approximately 9,300 students in 18 elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students, including four themed academies at Albany High School.
