Registration and address changes during closure

Currently, registration is open to all new students from prekindergarten-grade 12. Registration can be completed online or via mail. You also may make an in-person appointment by calling the Central Registration Office at (518) 475-6125 or emailing them at centralreg@albany.k12.ny.us. Please note that you must have an appointment for in-person registration. If possible, and to minimize the possibility COVID-19, families are encouraged to complete the process online or via mail.. 

Please be aware that you are not guaranteed a spot in your neighborhood elementary school attendance zone if all classes in your child's grade there are full. If that is the case, you will be offered a seat in a school where there is space. In the meantime, we will place you on a waiting list for your neighborhood school and contact you if space becomes available.
