This week at Hackett:
- NWEA Reading Assessments were administered Monday to all students.
- Team 6A will attend their end-of-the-year field trip tomorrow (Tuesday, June 9) and Team 6B will attend on Wednesday, June 10.
- Our Extended Day Program ends for the year on Thursday, June 11.
- The Grade 8 dance will take place this Friday, June 12, 6-8 p.m. Students must hand in a signed permission slip to receive a ticket to the dance. Admission is free. Please be advised, students must be in school from 8 a.m. through at least 11:06 a.m. in order to attend the dance. If needed, they may be signed out at this time by a parent or emergency contact already on the student's contact list.
Grade 6 Transition Camp is scheduled from Aug. 24-26 here at Hackett from 8:30-11:30 a.m. If you haven't registered your fifth grader yet, you can do so the first day of the camp. Additionally, we are holding our New Family Orientation on Aug. 27 from 6-8 p.m.

Please join the Albany SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) for their last meeting of the year - a virtual presentation from Maureen Aromi, a Speech-Language Pathologist in the City School District of Albany. It's next Thursday (June 11) from 6:30 p.m.-7:45 p.m. Maureen Aromi has many years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in our district and will present about a variety of types of communication disorders along with some general best practices, with time for questions and discussion at the end.
