Opened in 2004, Schuyler Achievement Academy was one of the first projects completed in the City School District of Albany’s sweeping plan to rebuild or renovate all its elementary and middle schools. This modern, award-winning facility is a blend of the school most recently known as Opportunity School 21 and a new structure added to enlarge the school.

The school's "full-service" model allows it to take care of children’s academic needs as well as provide a range of health and wellness services. These services include mobile dental health services through our partnership with St. Peter's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House, and school-based health services through our partnership with Whitney M. Young Jr. Health Services, in addition to mental health and other wellness services.

At the end of the 2015-16 school year, Schuyler students created a video to tell the world about their commitment to excellence.

Building opens 8:40 a.m.
Breakfast  8:40 a.m.
School begins 9:05 a.m.
School ends 3:35 p.m.

Schuyler is a Community School, which functions as neighborhood centers providing additional support and services to students and families during and beyond the regular school day. For more information on services and programs we offer, please contact:
