Falcons 'Strike Out Cancer'

First base makes an out during a benefit game for Pancreatic Cancer.

On Friday, both the Albany High School and Shaker High School softball teams traded their usual royal blue uniforms for purple to increase awareness of pancreatic cancer.

The Bisons and Falcons teamed up to ‘Strike Out Cancer’ in honor of long-time and beloved umpire John DeFlumer, who passed away from the third deadliest cancer this past fall.

The teams raised $800 to fund pancreatic cancer research and education.
