About our school
Our mission at Clement is to provide students with a safe, nurturing and supportive educational experience that is responsive to every student’s cultural, emotional and social development.
Class size is small at Clement, helping further develop our student-centered learning community. In addition to our teaching and support staff, there are several clinical staff members and a mental health service provider to help our students succeed emotionally and academically.
As a community school, our building serves as a hub for events supporting students and families during the school day and beyond.
Through these partnerships, we offer students Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses, athletics, youth employment and more.
Above all else, what we offer at Clement are alternative paths to success, and a belief in each and every one of our students.
David Bernsley
Principal
We offer several alternative programs here at Clement, serving students in grades 9-12.
You can read more about our specific programs by visiting our Alternative Education page.
All of our programs offer:
- Increased staff to student ratio when compared to other middle or high school programs. This allows us to provide attention to individual student strengths, goals, and growth.
- Access to a Clinical Team consisting of a school counselor, school psychologist, behavior specialist, social workers, home school coordinator, school nurse and a Northern Rivers Clinician.
- Offer multiple modalities for learning including direct instruction, blended learning via the Apex Online Learning platform, and project based learning experiences.
- Community School model to provide additional support and services to families and students during and beyond the regular school day.
