Falcons fare well at championship track and field meet

Three student athletes pose after qualifying for the NYS Championship Track and Field Meet.

All three student-athletes who qualified to compete in this past weekend's New York State Championship Track and Field Meet placed in the top 20 for their respective events.

On Friday in the long jump, senior Adam Oblisk marked 20-04.25 which earned him a ranking of 17 in Division 1.

Also on Friday, senior Neel Chittur ran a personal best in the 3200m with a time of 9:24.01 and placed 16th in New York State, out of 39 runners.

And on Saturday, Graham Richard ran the 1600m in 4:16.34, which tops Albany High School's record of 4:17.55 set by Philo Germano in 2013. Graham placed 8th in New York State out of 34 runners.

Congratulations on a wonderful season and even better post-season - we're proud of you, Falcons!
