Rebuilding Albany High ribbon-cutting Feb. 22

Reflection of the old Albany High building in the glass exterior of the new academic building.

The first phase of construction of the new Albany High School is almost complete. On Saturday, Feb. 22, students, families and community members are invited to attend our ribbon-cutting and celebrate the opening of this magnificent space.

The Rebuilding Albany High Phase 1 ribbon-cutting will be held at 10 a.m.

Tours will also be offered beginning at 8:30 a.m. and run every 15 minutes, with the last tour starting at 9:15 a.m. Space in each tour is limited, so we ask that you register in advance.

Parking for the tours and ribbon-cutting will be available in Albany High's North Main Avenue parking lot.

The new structure is a three-story, 120,000-square-foot academic building that will house three of the school’s four themed academies.

Construction is also underway on Phase 2, a new music and art wing, which is slated to open this fall.

The full project is expected to be completed in 2025. Learn more about the project by visiting our Rebuilding Albany High section.
