Student-artists honored

Congratulations to the six Albany High School student-artists whose work was accepted for the 2020 High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition.

Pieces by Sarahi Diaz (junior), Natalie Penna (senior), Maxine Sarfo (senior), Janille Nuqui (junior), Efani Angel (freshman) and Jamiah Williams (junior) are now part of a juried showcase of the best artwork created by regional high school students from 24 area districts. Williams was also honored with the prestigious "Opalka Award," which is named for the gallery that hosts the exhibit on the Sage College campus.

Since the Opalka Gallery is currently closed to the public, an online showcase will be available soon. The City School District of Albany will provide a link once it's available.

Please visit the district's Facebook page the view the submissions.
