Work by five Albany High students recognized

Student photograph entitled "Light" selected for art show.

The Capital Area Art Supervisors and Region 6 New York State Art Teachers Association selected entries by four Albany High School students to advance to the 2021 Capital Region Media Arts Festival.

Eighteen area school districts submitted 182 pieces for consideration and only 20 were selected to receive awards.

Senior Mya Noe’s To Be a Woman – Outstanding Video/Experimental Video (guiding teacher is Theresa Story)

Sophomore Haley Vega’s Light – First Place in Still Life/Objects (guiding teacher is Diana Jordan)

Senior Ehblue Say’s Love Poem – Second Place in Magazines, Books and Product Packaging (guiding teacher is Theresa Story)

Sophomore Emily Farrell’s Walt Disney – Honorable Mention in Design-Virtual Identity and Marketing (guiding teacher is Diana Del Guidice)

Freshman Alexandria Reid's Purple Hearts -- Third Place in Abstract Photography (guiding teacher is Teresa Story)

A reception for the student-artists, along with family and friends, was held on Friday, via Zoom.
