Mother's Day spa this Saturday

Pamper Mom or an important person in your life on Saturday during the annual Mother's Day spa event at Albany High School's Abrookin Career and Technical Center.

The Cosmetology Department will host the spa day from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at Abrookin, located at 99 Kent St. (two blocks north of Albany High).

Under the direction of their teachers, cosmetology students will provide a host of services. You can choose two of the following services for $25:

  • A and C nails
  • Eyelashes
  • Facial
  • Finger waves
  • Manicure
  • Pedicure
  • Roller sets

Weaves and braids are available for an additional cost; call (518) 475-6412 for a consultation.

Delicious treats will be available for purchase and vendors will be on hand with information and products.

Proceeds raised from services will benefit Cosmetology Program activities.

The mission of the City School District of Albany is to educate and prepare all students for college and career, citizenship and life, in partnership with our diverse community. The district serves approximately 9,500 students in 18 elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students, including four themed academies at Albany High School.
