If you haven’t yet experienced an Albany High School jazz performance, you’ll have several opportunities to attend free shows in the community during May and June.

Albany High has two jazz ensembles: The Jazzmanian Devils (advanced group) and the B Flats (intermediate group). Both are under the direction of John Halvorsen.

Their community performances are as follows:

Thursday, May 26 - B Flats play the garden at the Albany Public Library Bach branch, 455 New Scotland Ave., 6-7:30 p.m.

Thursday, June 2 - Jazzmanian Devils and Chamber Choir play the garden at the Albany Public Library Bach branch, 455 New Scotland Ave., 6-7:30 p.m.

Friday, June 3 - Jazzmanian Devils play the Albany Public Library Pine Hills branch, 517 Western Ave., 6:30-7:30 p.m. (opening for an art show)
