Mohsini leads boys' soccer into sectionals

Mohsini leads the Falcons with 14 goals as they prepare to open the Section 2 Class AA playoffs with a first-round game at home against Colonie on Thursday. Game time is 7 p.m. Albany High, seeded seventh in Section 2, closed the regular season with a 2-1 win over Colonie last week. The Raiders are seeded 10th.

The Falcons (6-6-3) finished the regular season third in the Suburban Council Gray Division. If they win Thursday night, they will advance to play at No. 2 Shaker on Monday at 7 p.m. The Bison (10-1-2) beat the Falcons 2-0 earlier this month. Shaker finished second in the Suburban Blue Division and is ranked No. 16 among the state’s Class AA schools.
