William S. Hackett Middle School's Sofia Kovaci recently placed third in a juried art show run by the FLOCKart Gallery at Woodland Hill Montessori School.

The eighth grader's abstract piece, Bubbles, was submitted by guiding teacher Elizabeth Boyle for The Middle School Regional Gallery Opening entitled The Universe.

Bubbles was also showcased by the show's organizers in promotional materials for the exhibit.

FLOCKart is a mobile gallery, residency, and arts education program, in a renovated shipping container that connects diverse artists with urban and rural communities to learn, create, experiment, and unite around contemporary art.

The exhibit is open to the public tomorrow (Wednesday, April 26) from 6-7:30 p.m.

Congratulations Sofia, we're proud of your accomplishment and creativity!
