Congratulations to Elijah Temple!
The Albany High School junior won Gold Level in New York State's Skills USA Tournament for Barbering in Syracuse last week. Temple is now eligible to attend the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta in June.
Skills USA is an organization that works to increase career and technical skills grounded in academics.
This is the first time in recent history that a Falcon has won a SkillsUSA state CTE championship and advanced to the national level.
Thank you, also, to Albany High Barbering instructor Jonathan Wafer for his guidance in helping Elijah achieve this outstanding honor.
