Indoor Percussion Ensemble preps for home show

Student strikes two cymbals together

On Monday, the Albany Indoor Percussion Ensemble honed their precision and timing skills as they prepared for their upcoming home show performance this Saturday.

You can check out their dazzling talents in person at the home show, which will be held in the Albany High School gym. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and cost is $8 per person.

The ensemble is made up of City School District of Albany musicians in grades 6-12 who simultaneously play a range of percussion (and other) instruments, march, dance and perform theater.

Saturday’s home show is open to the community and will feature district students along with musician-performers from eight other schools, with special guest performances from two University at Albany ensembles.

Stop by … and be prepared to be amazed!
