Falcon artist recognized in juried show

Congratulations to Z'Andre Wilkinson! The grade 11 Albany High School student's photograph, Untitled, was honored with the Albany Center Gallery's Membership Award this past weekend at the 25th Annual High School Regional Juried Exhibition  at the Opalka Gallery.

David B. Easton is Wilkinson's guiding teacher in Photography I.

Four additional students also have pieces on display in the show

  • Jo Wunderlich (grade 12), Untitled, guiding teacher is Krissy Monahan
  • Ariana Barreto (grade 11), Portrait, guiding teacher is Deborah Cronin
  • Rowan Hoehn (grade 11), Untitled, guiding teacher is David B Easton
  • Aleshanee Sharpe (grade 11), Korban, guiding teacher is Thea Resila

This year, 28 districts submitted 590 works and 103 were accepted. 

The exhibit runs though April 13. 

The Opalka Gallery is located in Russell Sage College, 140 New Scotland Ave.
