Sweet dreams, indeed! On Friday, Lodge’s received a large shipment of brand-new sheets, pillows and mattress pads that will go toward the Sweet Dreams bed and books donation program.
Sweet Dreams will provide and deliver a twin mattress, box spring and bed frame to 60 City School District of Albany families who need a bed for their child.
The program is a joint effort of HATAS (Homeless and Travelers Aid Society), which provides a bed, frame and delivery; the Albany Fund for Education, which provides bedding; and The RED Bookshelf, which provides bedtime stories.

Families are eligible to receive a bed if they live in Albany and if their child or children attend City School District of Albany schools. Students do NOT need to be homeless to receive a bed. To learn more, call your child’s school and ask to speak to the principal, the home school coordinator or the community school coordinator.
