Congratulations to Albany Athletics (left to right: Glenn Westfall Jr., Kimberly Pilla, Rachel Swann and Mary Anne Fritz) for receiving a well-deserved Sportsmanship Promotion Award for the 2024-25 school year!
Albany Athletics was granted the award from the New York State Public High School Athletics Association (NYSPHSAA) for putting forth exemplary effort in promoting sportsmanship through a variety of methods that foster a positive environment for spectators, officials, coaches, opponents and student-athletes.
We are grateful for the leadership of our athletics department, along with the support of our coaches and student-athletes, for their focused efforts towards promoting respect, hospitality, and integrity at sports practices and competitions for all involved.
Albany Athletics will be recognized at our upcoming Board of Education meeting on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Harriet Gibbons for this wonderful accomplishment.
