Falcon pride at Homecoming 2025

Students posing with the Falcon mascot during the Homecoming Parade

Homecoming Weekend 2025 was an incredible celebration, and we are thankful to all the students, faculty and staff, coaches, community leaders, family members and friends who made this a memorable experience for our Falcons!

Our festivities kicked off with a spirited pep rally at Albany High on Friday afternoon and continued with our boys' soccer Senior Night. Our Falcons claimed victory at The Nest with a 5-0 Suburban Council win against CBA, their fourth consecutive win overall!

The excitement continued on Saturday morning with our Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony where we celebrated our new inductees for the Class of 2025: Taofeek Abijako '16, Carlton Kippins '14, Ariel Miller '07, CJay Philip '87, Dr. Arlene Reed-Delaney '58 and Gina Torres '12.

Our sporting competitions kicked off at 10 a.m. with girls' soccer and girls' swimming and diving.

The return of our Homecoming Parade -- our first parade since the pandemic -- was a highlight of the day. The parade featured the Marching Falcons, JROTC, modified and high school fall sports teams, youth sports organizations, the Albany High Dance Team, the Giffen Gatorettes, a senior float and more!

Following the parade, the midway outside the stadium was buzzing with excitement and anticipation prior the start of the football game against Colonie. Our clubs and teams got creative with their fundraising booths, and it was so heartwarming to see everyone enjoying the delicious treats and fun activities!

Our Albanettes, Troubadours and the JROTC Color Guard opened the football game with a beautiful performance of the National Anthem and presentation of the colors.

During halftime of the football game, we honored our seniors on the cheerleading team prior their high-energy Boots on the Ground performance. Although our Falcons had a hard-fought loss to Colonie, 28-22, we are proud of their determined effort and terrific second-half comeback.

Last, but certainly not least, our Falcons had a blast hanging out and dancing the night away at our Homecoming Dance on Saturday evening.
