It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving in the City School District of Albany without Wanda Carter’s classroom feast.

Loved ones - and VIPs - joined Eagle Point Elementary School kindergarteners for a multi-cultural meal and memories that will last a lifetime.

But this gathering isn’t just about food and community, the class has been preparing for weeks.

Their double-sided placemats are decorated with both sight words and math facts, they’ve been practicing serving and passing shared dishes and their outfits are planned and perfect for the occasion!

We’re grateful for the volunteers and donors who make this event a success year after year (Mrs. Carter won’t reveal exactly how long she’s hosted this party), the families who participate and, most of all, our students for embracing such a wonderful experience.
