Albany High School's Mitchell Cartwright (at center in the photo) had a goal and two assists to help the Hawks secure an 11-2 win over the CD Jets in the Capital District High School Hockey League on Friday night at the Albany County Hockey Facility.

You can check out these photos of Mitchell in action on our Facebook page.

The goal was Mitchell's eighth of the season, tops in the league among defensemen. The Hawks (9-5 overall, 5-3 CDHSHL) are comprised of student-athletes from Niskayuna, Broadalbin-Perth and Schoharie in addition to Albany High — Mitchell is the lone Falcon soaring with the Hawks this season.

"The Jets were pretty tough in the first, but we stuck to our structure, and we played a really hard game — we got what we wanted with the "W," Mitchell said.

Great job, Mitchell, and good luck the rest of the season!
